Retro Sony Consoles

Sony first started to explore the video games market as a publisher and soon started exploring the home console hardware market with a partnership with Nintendo. Sony were initially working on a SNES CD-ROM addon named the Playstation which eventually fell through and never saw the light of day. Despite this, Sony explored their own console development and in 1993, Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. (SCEI) was established in Tokyo, Japan, prior to the launch of the original PlayStation video game system. Sony rocked the home console market with the PlayStation and have continued their success with the PlayStation 2, 3 and 4, releasing a variety of very successful games on their platforms.

As a retro games console, the original PlayStation and the PlayStation 2 offer a vast amount of popular titles and are must have platforms for collectors and gamers alike.
