SEGA have always been a company who aim to disrupt the video games industry, the Japanese company developed a wide range of home video games consoles between 1983 and 2001, before exiting the console market and becoming a games developer following the demise of the SEGA Dreamcast.

Due to the exit from the console market, SEGA's retro game consoles are very popular amongst collectors and gamers.
